♿ Accessible HTML Mini Lesson
Quick tips for building accessible, standards-based websites.
1. Color Contrast
Ensure text and UI elements have sufficient foreground–background contrast.
Dark text (#00141A) on light background (#FDFDFD) — contrast ≥ 4.5:1
Light-grey text on light-grey background — fails contrast.
2. Text Alternatives
Provide descriptive alt text for meaningful images and icons.
Use alt="Golden Retriever in park" for meaningful images.
Use blank or missing alt text on important images.
3. Keyboard Access
All interactive elements must be reachable and operable with a keyboard.
Provide visible focus indicators and logical tab order.
Rely on mouse-only drag actions without keyboard fallback.
